This past week, Ultraman Connection and Tsuburaya Productions came to New York Comic Con but we weren’t the only ones… For the first time ever, Ultraman Blazar and Earth Garon came to New York City! That’s right, Blazar doesn’t only reside in Japan — this time, he was summoned by American fans, as were Ultraseven and Ultraman, who returned to NYCC once again to check in on their loyal East Coast admirers.
Between Ultraseven’s appearance at the Ultraman Connection Panel, the Live Stage Show featuring Blazar and Earth Garon and the fan meet-and-greet photo ops, we sure got our fill of Ultra-heroes this year.
Some fans were skeptical of Blazar’s ability to handle the big apple. We are a tough bunch out here, and I’m sure any Ultra would appreciate the concern!

Many hilariously speculated why Blazar might be visiting NYCC. I, for one, think it’s one of the best places to study a variety of human behavior.

Though it was Blazar who ultimately saved New York and all of the NYCC attendees from alien and Kaiju invasion. The crowd went wild as Blazar fended off Alien Magma, Dada, Black King, and Neronga!

The newfound accessibility to live events like this in the west has been a treat for everyone involved as much as it has been for the fans. We’re proud to say, it looks like some folks’ inner child healed at the sight of the epic battle.
