Announcing Two Brand New Officially-licensed Ultraman Book Releases From PrintingFilm Media!

PrintingFilm Media, creator of extensive reference guides and artbooks for fan-favorite media, is coming out with two incredible new books featuring looks at the Ultraman series like you’ve never seen them before!

1. Ultraman Episode Guide

    Covering nearly 400 episodes of the live-action Showa-era TV series’ from Ultra Q through Ultraman 80.

    Featuring all new episode synopses written by Pop-Culture quizmaster, Chip Carter (Author of Obsessed with Star Trek and The Book of Lists (both The Office and Star Trek editions). Featuring stills from every episode and even includes information on the ‘banned’ episodes.

    With an all-new introduction by StarlightRunner CEO Jeff Gomez and a new foreword from Ultraman Series archivist and Eiji Tsuburaya biographer, August Ragone.

    2. Ultraman: Artbook

      A hardcover collection of nearly 150 brand-new pieces of artwork celebrating the history of Japan’s greatest superheroes. Covering nearly all of the Ultras, this collection of artwork has been curated by the editors at Printed In Blood, known for their Rondo Award-nominated collections of original art based upon Film, TV and Pop-culture properties.  

      This 200-page HC volume also contains the complete collection of the original cover art from all three of the Marvel Comics Ultraman and Ultraseven comic book series, including rare variants and poster art.

      These two volumes will become first available via a new Kickstarter launching Friday February 7th, 2025 at 12:00pm EST.

      They will each be available on the campaign with two different art covers, one will be the cover for mass release to the public after the Kickstarter has ended and the other will be Kickstarter-ONLY EXCLUSIVE covers.

      The Episode Guide will feature a Kickstarter EXCLUSIVE cover by Ultraman-Licensed and fan favorite artist, John Bellotti (ROBO7) while the mass release cover will be by UK-based graphic artist Mike McGee.

      The Ultraman:Artbook Kickstarter EXCLUSIVE cover comes from US artist Dorothea Taylor while the mass release is by UK designer and artist, Adam Stothard.

      All Ultraman books will be available at www.ultramanbooks.com first at the Kickstarter campaign platform starting February 7th and running for 30 days. Then, following the campaign they will be available pre-order via direct-to-consumer sales via PrintingFilm Media’s website. All will be reachable via the link above. Mass release will follow publication in September 2025 in partnership with Massive Publishing distributed via Lunar Distribution to comic shops and bookstores as well as in the UK/Europe via Forbidden Planet.
