Shin Ultraman will have its American premiere at the New York Asian Film Festival next month sometime between July 15th and 31st . The critically acclaimed, totally epic film directed by Shinji Higuchi and written by Hideaki Anno, the film is described in their press release as a “megahit” (which is true), and also as “a shiny new reimagining of the most successful tokusatsu-versus-kaiju series of all time.”
Shinji Higuchi and other executives from Tsuburaya Productions will be joined by Ultraman Connection team members at the prestigious event. Previous NYAFF premieres have included the work of Hayao Miyazaki and Takashi Miike (who just appeared in our Ultraman Connection Live 1st Anniversary: Ultraman Max Special, because he directed episodes of Max!).
Tickets to the Shin Ultraman screenings will be available on the New York Asian Film Festival website first week of July and you can find more information on the event here.
Shin Ultraman will have its international premiere in Switzerland at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival, which is dedicated to fantastic movies, July 1 - 9. It will have its North American premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Canada, July 14 – August 3. Let’s goooo!
